Advice on Breastfeeding
Prenatal Counseling in Breastfeeding (matron) (30', individual): €60
Prenatal counseling with a midwife about future breastfeeding in which the pregnant woman, during the pregnancy control, comes to solve both general and personal doubts.
The latter can arise, for example, from personal experiences with previous lactations or individual circumstances.
Postnatal Advice on Breastfeeding (matron)
First visit (1h, individual): €60
Initial assessment by the midwife of breastfeeding in the immediate postpartum period. In lactation, as in everything, it will always be much better to prevent than to cure. During this visit, the mother-baby dyad will be assessed in terms of breastfeeding.
It will help to achieve a good position and attachment of the baby to the breast to obtain a satisfactory lactation while avoiding later problems. In addition, advice will be given, specific doubts will be resolved, and tools will be provided to correct complications that may have arisen in the first hours of breastfeeding.
This visit can take place on the floor, before discharge, or in the office, after discharge.
- Follow-up visit with midwife (30', individual): €30
Advice on return to work and Breastfeeding
Return to work and Breastfeeding (matron) (30', individual): €60 (an informative mini-brochure is offered)
One of the issues that a woman can experience with the most anguish after the birth of her baby is thinking about rejoining the world of work and what separation with the baby entails. During this visit we will explain everything you need to know to plan your return to work: whether or not you need to prepare a milk bank, how to organize it if necessary, how to express milk, milk storage, etc.
Advice on Artificial Breastfeeding
Artificial lactation (midwife) (30', individual): €60 (informative mini-brochure is offered)
You've decided that you want to give your baby artificial formula, but you're not sure how it works.
During this visit we will explain everything you need to know about artificial feeding: how it works, the option of offering colostrum before starting artificial feeding, how to avoid and/or manage milk let-down, how and when to offer bottles, how to prepare a bottle, types of teats, types of milk, etc.
